Enterprise PLC

During 2012, the Basement held the proud position of charity of the year for Enterprise PCL.

Throughout the year Enterprise has supported the Basement in various ways showing that there are lots of ways to support charities.

Here are just a few of the ways they have helped us…

Delivering ‘Enterprise Workshops’ to help our clients build on their employability skills which included CV writing and interview techniques – with a selection of clients achieving employment with Enterprise as a result of the workshops! One client commented “The day was really valuable, the staff where impressed with the standard of my current CV, which gave my confidence a boost and the staged interviews where held just like the real thing!”

Enterprise have also donated to our ‘Dash for Drawers’ campaign, where as part of the 2012 Liverpool Santa Dash, Basement staff and volunteers appealed for new underwear for our clients. Enterprise donated a stack of ‘designer drawers’ to our drop-in service – which made a great difference to our clients.

Most recently, after hearing about the work of The Basement Outreach Team, Enterprise delivered a full kit of shoes, trousers and coats – branded with The Basement logo. The Outreach Team are out in all weathers and times of day searching the streets of Liverpool for rough sleepers and street drinkers – the kit will not only keep them keep warm and dry but allow staff to be easily identified by clients and our partner agencies.

We would all like to express our deepest thanks to all the staff at Enterprise PLC, their support has made a real difference in our effort to challenge homelessness and the the issues that lead to it.
